Picnic Guy

Funny looking face?  Yep!
Last night, while talking on the phone, I noticed there was just enough light and shadow on the drywall texture of the walls to make objects and shapes appear -- the same way you would watch clouds.
I saw some funny faces.  This is one of them!

I added the PICNIC stuff to honor that Todd has designated 2011 as the year of the picnic!
If you haven't been on a picnic lately, GO!
Whether outdoors or on the middle of your living room carpet, picnics are FUN!

Eeek! More Cats!

I'm not sure why I keep drawing cats.
Maybe it's because you can't really go wrong with drawing a cat.
They can be terribly wonky and funny but somehow the brain accepts it: cool cat.

Cat in a TankTop

He know that somehow he hadn't gotten it quite right.
But he didn't mind.

He felt joyous anyway!

Marvin: Sweater-Wearing Donkey

Marvin was on his way to have tea with Mabel.
And he was wearing a grand, new sweater.
'Twould be a find day, indeed!

Monkey Monkey Moo!

Monkey Monkey Moo!
Shall we buy a few?
Yellow monkeys,
Purple monkeys,
Monkeys red and blue.

Be a monkey, do!
Who's a monkey, who?
He's a monkey,
She's a monkey,
You're a monkey, too!

-1949, Marion Edey and Dorothy Grider

When my daughter was about 6 or 7,
we memorized this poem together.
'Twas fun!

Dreaming

Sometimes he dreamed of looking different,
but then he remembered he was
perfect just the way he was.
